Abstract

This article examines the role of Islamic values in influencing the success of Muslim women entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on ethical, spiritual, managerial, business performance, and socio-economic development aspects. Based on a review of the literature and conceptual discussions, this study identifies Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), benevolence (ihsan), justice, reliance on God (tawakkul), moderation (wasatiyyah), and adherence to Shariah principles as core factors shaping the behaviour, attitudes, and decision-making processes of Muslim women entrepreneurs. In terms of methodology, this study adopts a qualitative conceptual paper approach through document analysis and a systematic review of prior studies related to women entrepreneurship and Islamic values. Findings from previous research indicate that the internalisation of Islamic values has a positive relationship with business performance and sustainability, while also contributing to social well-being through zakat payments, job creation, and the empowerment of the ummah’s economy. This article further presents a theoretical and conceptual framework that supports the relationship between Islamic values and business performance and discusses implications for Islamic entrepreneurship policies and practices in Malaysia to strengthen a holistic understanding of Muslim women entrepreneurship.

ABSTRAK
Artikel ini membincangkan peranan nilai Islam dalam mempengaruhi kejayaan usahawan wanita Muslim dengan memberi tumpuan kepada aspek etika, spiritual, pengurusan, prestasi perniagaan dan pembangunan sosioekonomi. Berdasarkan sorotan literatur dan perbincangan konseptual, kajian ini
mengenal pasti nilai Islam seperti amanah, ihsan, keadilan, tawakal, wasatiyyah serta kepatuhan kepada prinsip syariah sebagai faktor teras yang  embentuk tingkah laku, sikap dan proses pembuatan keputusan keusahawanan wanita Muslim. Dari segi metodologi, kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbentuk kertas konsep melalui analisis dokumen dan sorotan literatur sistematik terhadap kajian terdahulu berkaitan keusahawanan wanita dan nilai Islam. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa penghayatan nilai-nilai Islam mempunyai hubungan positif dengan prestasi dan kelangsungan perniagaan, di samping menyumbang kepada kesejahteraan sosial melalui pembayaran zakat, penciptaan peluang pekerjaan serta pemerkasaan ekonomi ummah. Artikel ini turut mengemukakan kerangka teori dan kerangka konseptual yang menyokong hubungan antara nilai Islam dan prestasi perniagaan, serta membincangkan implikasi terhadap dasar dan amalan keusahawanan Islam di Malaysia bagi memperkukuh kefahaman terhadap keusahawanan wanita Muslim secara holistik.
